From 18 - 25 May 2026, services across Europe are taking part in European Testing Week - a campaign to raise awareness of HIV, STI and viral hepatitis testing, and the importance of knowing your status.

Our Sexual Health Promotion team will be out across Derbyshire throughout the week, offering free, confidential testing, self-testing kits, and sexual health advice in community settings.

Where to find us

During the week, you’ll be able to drop in without an appointment at a range of public venues, including:

  • GP surgery drop-ins
  • Pop-up clinics in town centre locations
  • College outreach sessions
  • Festivals and community events

We’ll also be running mobile outreach from our testing van at selected venues.

Testing is quick, easy, and confidential. Many STIs don’t cause symptoms, so regular testing is an important part of looking after your health and protecting others.

What’s available

  • Free STI and HIV testing
  • Self-test kits to take away
  • Friendly, non-judgemental advice
  • Information on prevention, contraception and local services

You don’t need symptoms to get tested - if you’re sexually active, testing regularly is a good idea.
