National HIV Testing Week runs from 9 - 15 February 2026, encouraging people to take a simple, free and confidential HIV test. Early diagnosis means effective treatment, good long‑term health, and no risk of passing HIV on.
Across Derbyshire, Your Sexual Health Matters will be offering extra opportunities to test in community settings:
- Tuesday 10 February Derby University atrium , 11am-2pm
- Wednesday 11 February Ilkeston Market Place, 10am–12pm
- Thursday 12 February Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Main Reception, 1.30pm–2.30pm
- Thursday 12 February Staveley Healthy Living Centre, 3pm–6pm
- Monday 16 February Bakewell Market, 9.30am–12.30pm
If you can’t attend a drop‑in, you can order a free STI and HIV home test kit online.
National HIV Testing Week is led by HIV Prevention England, supporting local services to increase awareness, reduce stigma and make testing easy for everyone. By promoting local testing opportunities, we aim to make it as simple as possible for people across Derbyshire to get tested and know their status.
Know your status. Protect your health.
