Spring 2026 - Young People’s Sexual Health
This spring event is being delivered in collaboration with the Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Implementation Group and forms part of a long‑standing network that has supported professionals across Derby and Derbyshire for more than 10 years.
We’re delighted to welcome guest speakers Dr Simon Williams and Dr Rachel Searcey from the University of Derby. Simon will share perspectives from his work with refugees, asylum seekers, and diverse communities, alongside insights into youth work practice and supporting young people’s sense of identity and hope. Rachel will present research-informed learning on child sexual exploitation and the complexities of hidden vulnerability within young people. Together, they’ll offer thought-provoking, evidence-based content to enhance your understanding and practice.
By attending, you’ll have the chance to explore evidence‑based practice that’s relevant to your role, meet and connect with local sexual health teams, and take away practical resources and knowledge to support your work around sexual health.
