This year’s Sexual Health Week explores how living our lives online affects how we think, feel and behave when it comes to sex, relationships and consent.

The theme ‘Chronically Online’ is led nationally by Brook, encouraging honest conversations about the pressures and possibilities of digital life – from sexting and self-esteem to porn, boundaries and healthy relationships.

Throughout the week, the Your Sexual Health Matters and Derbyshire Teen Health channels will be sharing practical advice, informative content and signposting to local support. Keep an eye on our social media for daily posts, tips and resources – all designed to help people of all ages feel safer, more informed and more confident online.

The Sexual Health Promotion team will also be active in schools and community settings across Derbyshire, supporting young people to navigate digital relationships and make healthy choices. This includes a new emoji-matching activity to explore communication and meaning in online conversations, and an interactive ‘hashtag wall’ where people can respond to the question: “What I wish people knew about sex, relationships and the internet.” These activities are designed to spark conversations around online safety, misinformation and where to find credible information.

We’ll also be offering point-of-care testing, free condoms, advice and signposting to local support.
